	Research and Ph.D	The doctorate (PhD) is the III level of studies, after the "laurea" (Bachelor) and the "laurea specialistica/magistrale" (Master). Its objective is education through research. Admission is limited and based on merit.

	University Masters in Intercultural Competence and Management (1st level)	The Masters aims to train professionals who are able to understand the risks and opportunities in life in a pluralist and multicultural context, in order to be able to identify, mediate in and manage conflicts and potential areas of growth and enrichment with competence. In the context of economic globalisation, the internationalisation of companies and the arrival of a multicultural society, the need arises for professional figures with specific skills who can intervene in the following situations: social, educational, scholastic, economic, company, cultural, health and territorial, when these are characterised by the presence of people belonging to different cultures, with different languages, values and religious and cultural models. In the light of the latest developments in Intercultural Pedagogy, through the acquisition of competences in the fields of intercultural mediation, coaching and the effective management of conflicts, the Master aims to improve the abilities of understanding, relations and problem solving particularly in the areas of education, school, social and company work. Particular emphasis will be placed on the development of abilities in the fields of mass media, journalism and intercultural communication. WORK OPPORTUNITIES. The professionals who follow the Masters course will be able to operate as consultants in private and public companies which operate on international markets, in multinational companies and in companies and organisations which offer employment to foreign personnel, in public administrations, non governmental organisations and Onlus, in schools and training institutes. They will be able to work as experts in the field of intercultural mediation, management of conflicts, the study of company environments and international relations between people of different cultures. They will be able to act as intercultural mediators in the areas of company and social work, training, health and institutions; and as researchers in documentation and training centres; and operate in the field of mass media as experts in intercultural communication.
